20 F'N Miles - Saturday, Sept 15

The Frankfort-New Lenox Running Club (aka the F'N Runners) is hosting a 20 mile training run on the Old Plank Road Trail in preparation for the Chicago Marathon. Anyone is welcome to join us, even for only a few miles. The more the merrier!

If you need to do the full 20 miles, we will have two different start/end times and locations.

Saturday, September 15
6:00 AM - Cedar Rd (New Lenox)
7:00 AM - White St (Frankfort)

But if you want to jump in for fewer than 20, feel free to join us at any point! If you're running around a 10-10:30 pace, here is where we will be and when on the trail.

6:00 - Cedar - Group 1 starts
6:40 - Wolf
7:00 - White St/Grainery - Group 2 starts
7:30 - Harlem
7:45 - Ridgeland
8:00 - Harlem
8:30 - White St/Grainery
8:50 - Wolf Rd
9:30 - Cedar - Group 1 ends
10:10 - Wolf
10:30 - White St/Grainery - Group 2 ends

We are working on 2-3 aid stations, staffed by volunteers and supplied by a generous local grocer (more details to follow).

Just to be clear: This is not a race, it is not timed, and there will not be medical staff on hand. This is run-at-your-own-risk (and your own pace). Anyone is welcome to join us for any portion of the run, but the total distance (20 miles) is intended for those who are running a marathon in October, and/or have the proper training to run that distance.

Check our Facebook event for the latest updates.
